Our Wellness Classes offer a warm, supportive space where youth with chronic medical conditions can connect, learn, and focus on their overall wellness together. Through interactive classes, participants build practical skills alongside peers who understand their experiences. Each 4-part series focuses on a different topic.
Classes are led by a member of our health care team and include time for patients to have a short individual check-in with Sydney Gressel, NP, to discuss personal questions and goals. All classes are conducted virtually by ZOOM.
We are currently offering the following classes:
Pediatric to Adult Transition Support Creating Calm Group
This class is designed for teens and young adults with chronic conditions who are preparing to move from pediatric to adult care. During the class, participants will focus on transition readiness and learn practical health and life skills to build independence and confidence in managing their own condition.
Creating Calm Group
This goals of this class for ages 12+ are to learn relaxation and regulation skills, make connections with others, build resiliency, and transform the challenges of living with chronic conditions into new growth. You will learn natural ways to find calm in your life such as meditation, tapping, Qi Gong, and the mind-body connection alongside others who also have chronic conditions.
