
We have partnered with ODC/Dance Company (formerly Oberlin Dance Collective) to offer engaging dance classes that promote movement, creativity, and joy through a variety of styles.

This series is designed for patients with chronic medical conditions, ages 7 and up (including teens and young adults), along with their siblings. The 4-class series introduces youth to a variety of dance styles, including hip hop, contemporary dance, world dance, and creative movement. Fostering a fun, inclusive environment where every BODY can dance.
All classes are designed around key movement and wellness goals, including:
- Creative Expression: Explore movement as a form of self-expression
- Body Awareness: Learn how to move safely and confidently
- Cultural Exploration: Experience movement styles from around the world
- Confidence Building: Gain comfort performing and participating in group activities
During this FREE series, participants willl
- Build strength, flexibility, and coordination through guided movement
- Express creativity in a supportive and inclusive environment
- Connect with peers and build friendships
- Try new forms of movement and discover what they enjoy
- Gain confidence in their ability to move and participate
Participants can join:
- In person at the Wellness Center
(1825 4th St, San Francisco, CA – 4th Floor) - Virtually via Zoom
Parents (and siblings under age 7) are welcome to spend time in the community room with Wellness Center staff during class time to connect with other families and build community.
Participation Guidelines
- Youth ages 7+ are eligible to participate
- Siblings ages 7 and up are welcome to join
- No prior dance experience is required
- Comfortable clothing and space to move are recommended
For virtual participants, please ensure a safe, open area for movement during class time.
